Whereas the average Mac user must wait until fall to download OS X Yosemite 10.10, developers who signed up through the Developer Mac program (and some iOS developers) have already gained access to the OS X Yosemite beta, right after the WWDC 2014 conference. The first betas to be made available to OS X developers will not necessarily include information on supported hardware.
The platform will presumably be compatible with all modern Mac models, although specific system requirements and list of supported hardware have not been announced. As with the last major releases of OS X, the version OS X 10.10 it will be free to download.

Publication OS X Yosemitepresented at WWDC 14 will not go on sale before September this year.
